Do I really love what I do?

I was planning on not blogging this week but I changed my mind. Being on the internet keeps my mind off things, but I still needed to catch up on some more sleep. I’m back to work and doing those extra hours again which also means I’m back to being always tired. :| Do I really love what I do? That’s the big question. Because it really feels like I don’t.

  1. Your thoughts have stopped me in my tracks. Have similar thoughts from time to time. When this happens I read inspiring poetry and never bother with anyone or anything too negative. I try to get back to feeling grateful…..I don’t know if that helps…..life has ups and downs……but never rule out starting again and taking risks…….I’ve done it loads of times and I am still here to tell the tale…..X

I don’t like what I do but I’m trying to enjoy this as much as possible.
You know “This shall pass” :D
    Good luck!

do you mean that you don’t really love what you do for a living? or are you talking about your blog?

I used to have similar thoughts, but back then i really didn’t like what i was doing. Blogging really helped as a creative outlet though and always something that brought my joy. Hope you feel better soon. i really love that photo.

I think it is so great that so many of us have found an outlet with blogging, but it is true that the question of whether or not we love what we do is always on my mind. It is so hard in the economy to find a job that pays and you enjoy, but I do think that if you can find great people to work with you can make it work.

i like what trishie said- if you have a great job that provides stability, you can spend lots of time on your hobbies- blogging, photography, etc. hope you are doing well, arvee :)

i feel you. sometimes i have the same thoughts. but whenever this happens, i try to divert my attention to things that make me happy like baking, hanging out with the ones i love, and writing. there’s a game my bf and i always play when we feel a bit sad: it’s called “count your blessings”. works all the time. smile! :)
