New Year, new lens

01 11, 2013

It’s only recently that I get to do my favorite test shots with my “now not so new” Canon 50mm f1.8 lens. I’ve been dying to have this lens since early last year and was excited to have the lens as an early Christmas gift for myself. Sorry blog, I wasn’t able to tell you about it. :D I used it on parties, but had gotten the same question whenever I let someone else handles my camera. “Doesn’t it zoom?” Haha. I have to explain a few times that it’s a fixed lens, etc. Whew. It got me thinking if I did get the right lens, and for flower photos like these, no question. I think it’s better than my kit lens. ;)

The 50mm 1.8 is such a great lens to start with, especially since it’s so cheap in price. I’ve had mine for almost 2 years now I believe and I love it! I actually just got a new lens as well too (35mm f/2). Yay for new toys. Have fun with your new lens! :)

It’s the BEST! That + kit lens is the only one I need. This is far better than the kit lens in most situations. Enjoy!
    PS- The flowers look beautiful!

  3. Great choice Arvee! I have 50mm 1.4 and the first time I took a photo I was literally in ecstasy! :)))) Next “must have” is the 35mm.
