I got a new camera – Canon 550D

So yesterday, I got my camera!!! I’ve been waiting for this these past few weeks! Wooohhooo! ♥ Just in time for my trip tomorrow. What I’ve got is a Canon 550D from Ebay. Before deciding on what to buy, I researched more on the internet on what camera is perfect for me. I didn’t go to a store and hold the real thing before my final decision. I never held a 550D before in my life! And I think I’ve made a good decision. The 550D fits perfectly well in my small hands!

I took pictures, and had a bit of a problem with the blurry pictures at first. I was confused what I did wrong. I think I did all what the manual says! The instructions were so simple! It was only today that I found out that the lens that I attached wasn’t snugged (is that the right word for it?) enough, and had to remove it and attached it again. And voila! Here’s three pictures that I took of my dogs -Angel, Queenie, and Tootsie – at home. Yes, I’m a dog person. ♥

So, I’ve mentioned I’ll be going on a trip tomorrow and will be back on the 12th. So, probably I will not be blogging around much during those days. I’ll check emails probably when I have the time. I’m gonna miss blogging but I’m really hoping I’m going to enjoy the trip with my new camera more. Blogging will always be there when I get back. ♥♥♥

Back to blogging

I just got home this afternoon, and now I’m back to blogging! I’m finally home! To those who just happened to stumble on my blog for the first time, I had my surgery last Friday afternoon. I couldn’t remember anything that had happened inside the OR. All I remember was I was anxious when I was wheeled in, that I have a slight difficulty in breathing while flat. They’ve given me oxygen, but I was still anxious. Talking to the people I know who works in the Operating Room did not help either. I think they’ve given me Dormicum IV before I was placed on spinal anesthesia. The next thing I know, I was already in PACU. Ha! Pain was severe on my first day post-op. I was in bed the whole day. I couldn’t move, let alone cough. Anyway, I am glad the whole thing is now over. Now I have two months to recuperate. Wow. Two months at home. God, that’s pretty long. ♥ I’ll try not to let myself get bored. ;)

Anyway, September’s coming up, and I’ll be trying something new. I’ll be doing a sponsor blog post on September 1st. To the current sponsors of Flutter Happy, tell me if you’re interested in continuing our partnership in September. Prospective sponsors are also welcome. Email me the following info not later than August 28th:

  • A picture of yourself
  • Your city and your country
  • Your blog or shop banner (large size)
  • Some info about you and your blog (or shop)
  • Your URLS – blog, twitter, pinterest, flickr, etc.

Back from hospital

I’m home after two days in the hospital!  I’ve had frequent headaches and vomiting accompanied by occasional burps since college. I thought  my eyes were the problem. I’m near-sighted, and I have astigmatism. But I think it’s not. Last Friday at work, I’ve had it. Still with headache, I went to my gastro specialist and this time she told me I have reflux. She thinks it could be from the extra weight I’ve gained since my last consultation with her. With extra weight, there’s added pressure on your stomach and there’s backflow of bile/stomach acids into your esophagus. She suggested me to lose weight, to take small frequent meals with no fatty foods, and to stay upright after eating. I went back upstairs to where I work (doctor’s clinic is on 2nd floor), and went on with my paperworks. After half an hour, I just couldn’t take it anymore. I vomited twice. Ugh. A friend told me to get myself admitted to get lab works done. And that’s what I did.

Two nights in the hospital and I finished Michael Crichton’s Disclosure. Yaaayy… Labs are within normal except for crea which is low. I work usually with patients on dialysis with crea 10x more than the normal limits. So yay coz my kidneys are functioning well. Apparently low crea isn’t really that bothersome. My doc did an endoscopy to rule out ulcerations or inflammations in my stomach or esophagus. They’re perfectly normal except she’d seen something on the monitor which helped her conclude that I have bile reflux and not ulcer. Ultrasound of whole abdomen comes next. All are normal except for… my uterus. I have a dermoid cyst. It’s benign but needs surgical removal. *sigh* Probably sometime in July or August. ;(   I’m so glad to be home. I miss my bed.

Goodbye, little Clottey

Yesterday, our puppy named Clottey had passed away. He was named after Joshua Clottey, the pro boxer. He was given to my father since he’s no longer wanted by the previous owner since they are too many of them in a litter. He was full of fleas when I first saw him. Had to sprinkle him with flea powder which he didn’t like at all. He was not feeling well four days ago. He had no appetite at all. My mother brought him to the vet. He had no fever, and the vet had given him recovery food. The next day, he went back to his usual self, running around, and playing with other dogs (we have five more dogs). Two days ago, he started to have seizures and vomiting. We know what the prognosis will be. Yesterday afternoon, he passed away which leave us pretty much devastated. We will miss Clottey. I hope all dogs go to heaven. ♥

Flutter Happy is now online!

I’ve got great news! After some tweaks and tweaks, and a little bit more tweaks since May, I’m now ready to show Flutter ♥ Happy to everyone. Wow. Almost three months had passed already? ♥ I’ve had second thoughts on posting my blog url on Twitter. I don’t want anybody I know to stumble on this blog. It will be a bit weird if anybody at work or from school would read this. But I know that sooner or later they will know about this. I maybe also be posting this url on facebook. Maybe. Or maybe not.=) I’ll think about it.
