Do I really love what I do?

I was planning on not blogging this week but I changed my mind. Being on the internet keeps my mind off things, but I still needed to catch up on some more sleep. I’m back to work and doing those extra hours again which also means I’m back to being always tired. :| Do I really love what I do? That’s the big question. Because it really feels like I don’t.

Kimmika

Have you ever seen Kimberely Ross’ or Kimmika’s photos of “Bambi” on Pinterest? ♥ I am so loving her Flickr photostream right now. I love the colors of her analog photos. ♥
Your can find her on Flickr / Tumblr / Twitter. ♥

Almost over

I can’t believe my leave is almost over! Three more days and I’m back to work! :( Can I have another 15 days, please?

I spent this week mostly blog reading. I had more than a thousand posts on my reader and I already went through them (and 33 more popped up as we speak. This will never end). And may I ask when will I ever be lucky and win a giveaway? Lol. I already won twice. The last time I won was an ebook and I still haven’t received it. Let’s just leave it at that. ;)

I also had the time to explore the web for new blogs to read. That’s what I use BlogLovin for. I love it that blogs are categorized into personal, fashion, photography, design, etc… It made blogwalking (is that a word?) so easy. ♥

Anyway, I found this during my blog reading on swissmiss. I really need to share it. It made me think really hard about my life right now – what’s missing and what I still need to do.

Top five regrets of the dying:

  1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
  2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.
  3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
  4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
  5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

How was your week?

My first film roll

A month ago, I bought a Superheadz UWS to get myself started on film photography. It took me more than a month to finish the first roll. Most of the pictures I took were underexposed, probably because of the film I used. Katie from Curating Cuteness told me to use films ASA 400 or 800 with this camera instead of ASA 200. I’ll try again next time. Here are the only shots that came out good. ♥

Have a happy weekend! ♥

Punjabi

I’ve been wanting to eat for weeks in this Indian fast food place called Punjabi. I’ve never tried Indian food before, so I thought we should give it a go. The location of Punjabi is not to die for – it’s on the side of the street where buses, cars, and jeepneys come and go. That equals to pollution. ;| I’ve heard a lot about this joint, and nothing can really stop me from going. Haha.

Hmmm… what to order? Hmmmm… And a lot of hmmm after.

I let him order for the both of us.

Jerra rice w/ cumin seedsJerra rice with cumin seeds. Probably not one of my faves. I can’t really describe the flavor.

Tandoori mix grill (mix platter of roasted meats) w/ onion and sweet bell peppersTandoori mix grill (mix platter of roasted meats) w/ onion and sweet bell peppers

Rogan Joshi - traditional lamb curryRogan Joshi (a traditional lamb curry)

Allo Parootha (bread with potato)Allo Parootha (bread with potato). I can come back for this. For snacks. Hehe.

Have you also tried Indian food? Did you like it?

Goldilocks polvoron

It’s sometimes fun when you get to browse through the long forgotten (not that long, actually) photos in your hard drive. These photos were taken on the day we arrived in Mindanao last year. I was eating Goldilocks’ classic polvoron while in bed. ;D

Polvoron is a milk candy usually made of powdered milk, butter, sugar and toasted flour. It’s super easy to make! Some stores that sells them give you a lot of options – there are those with cookies and cream and chocolate flavor, and those with cashew nuts, and pinipig. Do you also have them in your country?

Goodbye, Duke

Two days ago, our dog Duke had passed away. He had what they called Distemper. ♥ He survived almost two years ago. I remembered him being not able to walk. It’s almost like a stroke. He was on IV therapy and meds. Then he got back on his feet again but the vet said there’s no cure for it. We kept him from mingling from our other dogs in case of infection. Last Tuesday, he wasn’t able to walk again. There’s IV again and meds. But I think the last incident already took a toll on his health. Last Thursday, he passed away. ;( It’s hard talking about this. It’s hard losing a pet. He’s been with us for years.
I’ve always believe, again and again, that all dogs go to heaven. ♥

Still going floral

I’m currently on Day 2 of my vacation leave from the hospital (aka work). Life can never be so sweet (and boring at the same time). :) You know what I mean. Spent most of the day in front of the screen, catching up on some long overdue blog reading and deciding whether or not to go ahead with the blog design changes for the next month or so. I know. I have nothing to do except tweak a few codes here and there. Anyway, If you need help on your WordPress site, just email me and I’ll make sure to email you back.

I’ll be asking someone to do the blog header. Just the blog header. The rest will be coded by yours truly. ♥ ;) And I think I’ve found the perfect person for the job. She’s Filipino like me and I’m sure you’ll love to meet her soon. ;) ♥ I think the theme for the header will still be pink. Haha… And as always, floral! I’m thinking a lot of peonies lately. Don’t you love these flowers? ;)

Pakayla Biehn

I’m loving these gorgeous and dreamy double exposure paintings by Pakayla Biehn.

Have coffee with me

I’ve been feeling a lot tired lately. Even if I drink coffee just to keep myself awake blog reading, still I ended up asleep before midnight. I think I need more than just a cup of coffee. Coffee, anyone? ♥ via Yzabelle Wuthrich
